Pore Cleansing Balm BHA

The balm blends mineral oil with plant oils — coconut, olive, argan, and jojoba — to dissolve makeup and hardened sebum, while a small amount of salicylic acid (a BHA) helps loosen the debris that clogs pores. An emulsifier (PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate) lets it rinse clean with water rather than leaving a film behind. Massage a scoop over dry skin, spending a little extra time on the nose and chin where blackheads gather, then wet and rinse; use it as the oil step of an evening double cleanse. The salicylic acid here is at cleanser strength, so it's a mild bonus rather than a replacement for a leave-on exfoliant. It's labeled alcohol-free, but it does contain fragrant plant oils such as citrus, lavender, and peppermint, so patch test if your skin is sensitive to essential oils.
