Salicylic acid at 0.5 percent (a BHA) loosens dead cells on the surface and inside pores, while volcanic ash and kaolin clay soak up excess sebum and zinc PCA helps keep oil production in check. The base is a classic soap-style foam — fatty acids plus potassium hydroxide — so the lather is rich and the rinse-off very clean, which is also why it can feel tight on drier skin. Massage over damp skin morning or evening, keeping it away from the eye area, and rinse well. It contains fragrance. If your cheeks feel stripped after washing, alternate it with a gentler low-pH cleanser and save this one for oilier days.
