Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

Korea ranking Top-20 tonerUS stock

A watery, leave-on exfoliating toner with 5% mandelic acid, a large-molecule acid derived from almonds that works more slowly and gently than most AHAs. It feels like plain water going on and does not sting the way stronger acids can. A sensible first exfoliant for sensitive skin, uneven texture, or post-blemish dark marks.

More detail

The active is 5% mandelic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid whose larger molecule penetrates gradually to loosen dull, rough surface skin with less irritation than glycolic or lactic acid, and it is often the acid of choice for fading post-inflammatory dark spots on deeper skin tones. It is buffered with calming, hydrating support, panthenol, beta-glucan, licorice root, centella, and sodium hyaluronate, so it exfoliates without stripping. The texture is a thin liquid: after cleansing, sweep it over skin with a cotton pad or press it in with your hands, then follow with the rest of your routine. Start two or three nights a week and build up as your skin adjusts. Because AHAs make skin more sun-sensitive, use it at night and wear sunscreen daily, and skip it on broken or actively irritated skin.
