Heartleaf water makes up 77% of the formula and does the soothing work, backed by panthenol for barrier support, centella asiatica and chamomile extracts, and several weights of hyaluronic acid for hydration. The texture is essentially water — mildly acidic and quick to absorb with no sticky finish — so it layers well; some people apply two or three passes, or soak cotton pads and leave them on for a few minutes as a toner mask. Use it morning and night right after cleansing, patted in with fingertips or a cotton pad, before serums and moisturizer. There is no added fragrance or drying alcohol, and the brand labels it non-comedogenic and low-irritation tested. It does contain a long list of botanical extracts, so very reactive skin that flares at plant ingredients should patch test first. Sold in 250 ml and 500 ml bottles.
