Apply to thoroughly cleansed, completely dry skin, since any moisture or skincare underneath weakens the seal, and swap in a fresh patch once it swells and turns white with absorbed fluid. It's waterproof but breathable, so it stays put through face-washing and can be worn day or night. These work best on surfaced whiteheads and freshly popped spots with fluid to draw out — they won't do much for deep, closed bumps under the skin.
