The base pairs coconut oil with mild fatty acids and betaine cleansing agents (palmitic and stearic acid, lauryl betaine) plus green tea leaf and green tea seed oil, rounded out by olive, camellia, sunflower and evening primrose oils and vitamin E so it cleans without stripping. It goes on as a firm balm that slips over dry or damp skin, breaks down light makeup and sunscreen, then emulsifies and washes away cleanly with water. Swipe it over the face, massage with fingertips, add a little water, and rinse; use it morning or night, or as the first step of a double cleanse if you wear heavier makeup. It is scented and also carries several essential oils, including lime, lemon and orange peel, basil and ylang ylang, so reactive or fragrance-sensitive skin should patch test before regular use.
