Vitalift-A Forte (Retinal)

The active is 0.1% retinal (retinaldehyde), a potent vitamin A derivative that converts to skin-active retinoic acid in a single step, which is why it's considered stronger and faster than typical retinol; it's supported by adenosine to help smooth and firm. To offset the irritation retinoids can cause, the base is deliberately nourishing — ceramide NP, cholesterol, squalane, shea butter and hyaluronic acid to reinforce the barrier and keep skin hydrated — giving it a rich, cream-like feel. Use it at night only, on clean dry skin, starting once or twice a week and building up slowly as your skin adjusts; some dryness, flaking or tingling is normal early on. Daily sunscreen is essential while using it, since retinoids increase sun sensitivity. Retinoids are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so skip it if that applies to you.
