Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

Korea ranking #32 maskUS stock

A wash-off scrub-mask of real black-sugar granules suspended in a honey-thick, oil-cushioned base — a Korean bathroom classic since the 2000s. Massaged over damp skin and left to sit, it polishes away rough, flaky texture and rinses off leaving skin smooth rather than stripped. Best for resilient normal, combination, or dry skin that wants an occasional physical exfoliant; sensitive or breakout-prone skin should sit this one out.

More detail

Sugar (sucrose) crystals do the exfoliating, while macadamia seed oil, shea butter, and meadowfoam seed oil cushion the scrub and keep skin comfortable — there are no chemical exfoliating acids in the formula, so the smoothing is entirely physical. The texture is like sugar stirred into honey, with a sweet, lemony scent. After cleansing, apply to damp skin avoiding the eye and mouth areas, massage very gently — let the granules glide rather than pressing — leave it on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with warm water; mixing in a little water or toner first softens the scrub further. Once or twice a week is plenty. The granules are genuinely abrasive if rubbed firmly or used on dry skin, and the formula contains fragrance, so sensitive, acne-prone, or easily irritated skin is better served by a chemical exfoliant. It also makes a good softening scrub for elbows and knees.

What the community saysMixed reports

A long-standing classic scrub-mask that many users say reliably leaves skin noticeably smoother and softer after one use, with the sugar granules buffered by nourishing oils so it does not feel drying. Opinion splits on abrasiveness: applied to dry skin or rubbed firmly the granules are harsh, and several reviewers steer acne-prone or easily irritated skin away from it entirely, with damp-skin application the standard advice for everyone else. It works best for people with resilient skin who want an occasional physical exfoliant.
