A centella-heavy toner with a small amount of gentle exfoliating acid, made to calm and lightly refine at the same time. It is watery and unscented, the kind of low-drama step for skin that is easily irritated or looking a little rough. Best for sensitive, redness-prone, or congested skin that cannot tolerate stronger exfoliants.

Madagascar-grown Centella asiatica extract makes up the bulk of the formula, around 84%, to soothe and support the skin barrier, while gluconolactone, a PHA and the mildest class of exfoliating acid, gently loosens dead surface cells without the sting of an AHA or BHA. Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid round it out for tone and hydration. The texture is light and fluid; swipe it on with a cotton pad or press it in with your hands after cleansing, morning and/or night. Because it does exfoliate, introduce it gradually if you are very sensitive, and keep up daily sunscreen. It is fragrance-free and essential-oil free, in keeping with its calm-and-refine intent.
